If you are looking for a canadian credit card offer then there is about two programs you can run. Both AMEX ( On Linkshare) and Home Trust Visa from ( Hometrust.ca ) are pay per action. Both pay a hefty payout at anywhere from $50 to $200 for some of the business credit cards. Capital One also has a Pay Per Click Program for canada but its invite only. If you are lucky the marketing company in charge for them will contact you. The Linkshare program with AMEX Canada is nice but it seems it is very hard to get approved and they are somewhat stern about it. I was allready approved for for the American Express USA program and figured why not use some GEO IP targeting and show my canadian traffic AMEX Canadian Credit Cards. It took about 4 or 5 trys with AMEX to get it approved. Why i’ll never really know, I met all the guidelines fine and never really changed anything. If i was approved for the USA program then why should the Canadian be any different. Here is a copy of the email

We regret to inform you that your acceptance as an American Express® Canada Affiliate is temporarily on hold for one or more of the following reasons:

* Site currently not live ( Its Been live for Years)

* Site currently does not have a privacy policy ( Yes it has one )

* Non-acceptance of the American Express Card(s) on e-commerce site ( Not a E-Commerce Site)

* Site caters to a non-Canadian audience (I Have Tons of Canadian Traffic )

* No response to the required questionnaire that must be completed in conjunction with your application

Please re-apply when your site is live and able to be accessed, a privacy policy has been added, you are able to accept the American Express Card and/or you cater to a Canadian-based audience.

Anyway if you want to get in this program just keep messing around with things. Try to get a 100% Canadian content site and have everything that they ask for. Then it may be less painfull for you then it was for me. If you join linkshare you can also check out the dell.ca /canadiantire.ca and tigerdirect.ca programs.

Seems maybe i got out at just the right time after i pulled most of my auctionads. It seems they have merged the 2 systems shopping ads and auction ads. For what reason i really don’t know other then auctionads was getting a pretty bad name. It was known for being down alot and lots of publisher problems. If you look at the forums at digital point you can find a good amount of posts about the lack of communication between auctionads and the publishers. Well i hope this means that they want a new start and the problems are fixed.

I just logged in and checked the few campaigns i had left running and the stats still seemed to be broke. Seems like the stats work for one day and then don’t work for a week, I can get a CTR of 8.55 one day and then like 0.10 CTR another. Anyway good luck guys i hope you get the system in gear like it used to be.

Did you change your sites? Did you pull ShoppingAds and replace them with something better? Let us know! Do you now run BANS store or PHPBAY?

I have used auctionads since i was talking to dillsmack and shoemoney on the webmasterradio chat. Dillsmack actually refered me to the ebay program on CJ. I got started with at that time was called shoemoneyads. Up untill that point i was just messing around with capital one credit card offers. I ran the auctionads code on some automotive sites i had with great results. I was making about 15 dollars a day off the same two websites with adsense.

Now with auctionads both were making a good 15 dollars each so in a matter of days i doubled my money. While this is not a ton of money it was a new way for me to make money online. For a few months i was making a nice little bit of change each month around 900 dollars. Now lately with auctionads as of this month with sending them even more traffic i made just under $300. I kept saying to myself things will get better they just have some things to work out.

Well its been a few months now since the takeover and things have just got worse. Auctionads says they are improveing one day at a time…. they must be some god damn long days. As of now i have droped them untill i hear from other people that things are back in order. As i write this i can’t even access the auctionads.com site and when i logged in today and almost every other day my stats were broken. I have gave them a fair run and now its game over. I really did like not waiting the extra month though for CJ.com to pay me, Where auctionads paid me directly into my paypal now waiting for a one month hold and then a check to come from CJ. I’m not that bitter but i hope for auctionads sake they get into 5th gear and fix the problems. It just more or less feels like your pissing traffic away when i see in my own logs 140 clicks going out and auctionads reporting 10. I have now changed pretty much all the code and urls and will let you know if January on the same 2 sites out performs December. I know one thing is for sure i won’t miss auctionads not working and showing ads for webkinz on a automotive site.

What do you think? Did you also drop auctionads lately?

WidgetBucks has rolled out a new ad widget style, giving publishers two display options for each of the eight sizes offered. The new ads are noted with a “B” (for “B Series”) in the pull-down menu of the “Customize Your Widget” page, where publishers can also see a preview before selecting with option to choose. Widgetbucks is Now Taking Canada and USA Traffic Only.

Widgetbucks is now only accecpting canadian and american traffic only. You will only be paid by widgetbucks for clicks from canada and the usa. This is great since canada is included and its not limited just to the usa. I am running widget bucks on my tv review site and the ads for plasma tv’s people are clicking like no tommorow. Widgetbucks has added Two “B” widgets (300×250 and 660×330) that offer search boxes within them, while one “C Series” widget the 300×250 medium square ad provides a simple top 10 product list without product images and reviews. Two examples of the new styles are sprinkled throughout this blog, and one static example is placed to the right.

One modification not previously highlighted here is the ability to adjust the product rotation interval, allowing publishers to vary the pace by which products are displayed in their widgets. The default rotation is 3 seconds, but can be set anywhere from 1 to 10 seconds per item.

Most Popular categories for WidgetBucks widgets

MP3 Players

Laptops

Game Consoles

Flat Panel Televisions

When it comes to the top paying ad sizes, here are the top four widgetbucks performers (in order, total units used)

160×600 wide skyscraper

728×90 leaderboard
